PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
TAYLOR NELSON SOFRES (TNS), Northwood, OH 2003 – Present
Manager, Developer
- Managing the online data collection of a $4 MM a year survey project with 11 tracking studies in the financial-services sector; developing a range of solutions – providing both advantages and disadvantages along with cost estimates – and generating prototypes for presentations to internal and external clients for continual feedback towards development of final solution.
- Handle the most difficult and complicated internet survey projects, developing custom scripting and creative answers to questions that could not be answered by other programmers.
- Develop custom automated reports for marketing research where standards tools are not able to produce the needed results for online, real-time interactive charts and graphs, and static tables reported in PowerPoint or Excel.
- Serve as the “go-to” resource for reducing or eliminating tedious, manual and error prone processes with custom developed tools that improve efficiencies, increase accuracy and makes mundane tasks such as programming standard internet surveys to testing, checking and validating the work done by others an easier process to do.
- Review projects to decide whether to create a new solution, use a brute-force method or improve on an existing solution in order to determine the feasibility and cost/savings estimation for conducting the various projects.
- Instrumental part of a team that are mentors for around 15 internet survey programmers; conduct weekly training sessions to answer questions, share expertise and demonstrate processes for the technical survey environment.
