I’m working toward the goal of selling my house and moving to Maryland so that Teri and I can finish what was always meant to be. Before I can do that, I want to make my house as finished as I can do that I can get top dollar for it. The house actually owes me nothing – though I won’t profit from the sale, I should get out of it what I paid for it. I’ve basically lived here rent free for 23 years – ignoring the thousands of dollars in interest I’ve paid and the other thousands I’ve put into upgrades and maintenance.
But, I digress…
This weekend’s chores were to finish the trim on the windows in the living room. I had previously stripped/sanded the window trim because the previous owner had painted over varnish and the paint was peeling. The from for trim needed to be replaced because I cut into it to install an alarm sensor, years ago.
I’m content with the way it turned out. Though, were I to grade myself, I’d probably give it a “B”. It could be better. It’s way better than it was.
This leaves just one more preparation chore in the living room before I can paint. I need to strip and clean the air vent. That can be an evening chore on a week day.
